Trust your intuition about being being in the right place

What No One Tells Us About Being in the Right Place

March 30, 20262 min read

“Your value doesn’t decrease based on someone’s inability to see your worth.”

- Zig Ziglar

Some of us spend years trying to become better, stronger, more confident…without realising that we were never the problem to begin with.

Sometimes, it’s not about fixing ourselves. It’s about noticing where we are — and how that environment is shaping the way we see who we are.

Because so much of what we feel… comes down to being in the right place.

In the wrong place, even our very best effort is never enough.
In the right place, just being there is celebrated.

There’s so much exhaustion that comes from constantly trying to prove yourself. Trying to be seen. Trying to be understood. Trying to feel like you belong.

And when that effort makes little or no difference, it’s easy to start questioning yourself. To assume we need to do more. Be more. Try harder.

But not every place is where we’re meant to stay.

Sometimes we don’t need to try harder or do more —
we need to trust our intuition and just move on.

There’s a part of us that already knows it. It’s subtle, but it’s there.

The feeling that something isn’t quite right. The sense that we’re forcing something that should feel natural.

And often, that feeling isn’t asking us to become more…it’s pointing us toward being in the right place.

We are never “too much” or “not enough”… Sometimes we’re just surrounded by people who can’t see our value.

This is where so many of us get stuck.

We start adjusting. Start changing parts of ourselves. Holding back. Over-explaining. Over-giving.

Trying to become more “acceptable” in a space that was never meant for us.

Sometimes growth isn’t about becoming better - it’s about leaving places that made us question if we were enough.

Growth doesn’t always look like improvement. Sometimes it looks like distance.

Like choosing not to stay. Like walking away from something that once felt important.

Because growth can also be about choosing to be in the right place over staying where we slowly lose ourselves.

The moment we start believing in our own worth, we stop waiting for others to prove it to us.

It’s about this quiet, grounded knowing. When we decide to treasure who we are and what we have to offer.

We stop chasing validation. Stop over-explaining. Stop trying to earn our place in rooms that don’t recognise us.

And instead, we start choosing differently.

Choosing people who see us. Choosing spaces where we don’t have to prove anything. Choosing to be in the right place — again and again.
